My Word of the Year

I have chosen a word of the year a few times but the last couple of years I haven't found the right word. I have seen a number of posts about this recently, and had thought I would not bother. What word to use is too hard a question for me.
Until today I had a couple of things that happened and after the first incident, where I walked pass my friend's house. I commented to her that maybe I need to choose the word focus as my word of the year.
I had time to think about it and and come to realized that maybe it could help as I have found myself being pulled between jobs and not sure which one is more important or that fact that maybe trying to do 2-3 jobs at once is not the way to go. If I focus on one job and completed by it, would I get more jobs done. Do you work on one thing at a time or are you like me working on a few things at one time.
So my word will be FOCUS for 2020. We will see what happens  to see if I can streamline things and stay focus on the jobs that need to be done. I have started.
I purchase a small diary for my workshops, previously I kept the details on the computer. That sounds good, but I found at times the computer wasn't on when I took the booking and then just wrote it on loose pieces of paper. You should of seen the used paper I throw out when I did a tidy up over the Christmas break.

My Word for 2016

My word for 2015 was time. Make time to do the things I needed to do. Take time out with the important people in my life. Stop wasting time and so on. I did ok I think. I can see looking back I was able to achieve more than I did in 2014.
It has taken me a good week on deciding what 2016 word was going to be. there is a lot of good words to chose from. Some of the words I was looking at included Shine, Wow, Dazzle, Create, Learn. Really the first three words are the same and I will do them next year hopefully but the last two were more interesting. They cover two areas I know I will need to harness to continue to grow. I have learnt some much in the last two years that when I look back I can say two years ago I had no idea how to do that and I have mastered it especially when it comes to blogging, Facebook, websites, marketing, using online applications. The list goes on but with learning comes Create. I have created to need to learn all this stuff and there is more to learn so I can continue creating new designs, workshop, classes, ads and continue to evolve the Cynthia's Ark brand and grow my business so it becomes whole and I can give the other job away.

So the word for 2016 is CREATE. I want to spend more time creating new designs, new workshops, shop displays, newsletters, a new mailing list, a Cynthia's Ark Facebook group so we can all get together and Sew and Share what we are working on and that is the start of 2016 Big Year of Creating.

My Word for 2015.

I have been thinking on this for a couple of weeks now. On reflecting on 2014 there seem to be a recurring word appearing in my life. So I am taking on this word as my word for the 2015 and I am going to try fixing all the problems I have with it. No more excuses. Well maybe a few I can't control everything and everybody, so I may need a few excuses over the course of the year. Maybe a couple of get out of jail free cards.

My word for 2015 is TIME.

I plan to make Time to do things I want to do.
Spend Time with the people important to me.
Put Time saving processions in place.(Outsource some jobs eg quilting large quilts)
Not waste Time doing stuff I don't want to do. Believe me I do too much of this one.
Enjoy my Time, something I don't do enough off.
Create regular Sewing Time blocks.

This is all to make my life easier, more enjoyable, allow me to reach my 2015 goals and leave me happy within myself. I too easily let others bring me down and ruin my spirit. I will try to not let this happen in 2015.
Until Next Time
Do what makes you Happy
