2021 Events and Workshops

                                             

Here you will find a list of events and workshops that we are attending and hosting during the year. I will update this as we book new events and  workshops.There will be more workshops add to this list as I set dates for them. Bookings are essential so if you are interested please email me or ring me to find out the price and book your spot. On booking and payment of deposit you will receive the workshop requirements list. I will be looking at adding the workshops to my website so you can book online in the near future.Note: Your deposit/workshop fee is non refundable if you don't turn up on the day of the workshop. Please make sure you know the workshop/classes start and finishing times, so you can get the most out of your workshop time.

There is no workshops during January 2021  but we may have some Project Uninterrupted Sessions.

Project Uninterrupted is our Sit, Sew & Chat group which is on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the month. Friday sessions are on the 7^th May, 4^th June 2,^nd July & 6 th August. Saturday sessions are on the 8^th May, 5^th June, 3^rd July & 7th August. Sunday sessions are on the 6^th June & 1st August. Time is 10 am- 2pm, $15 per session to be paid on the day. No teacher, you work on your own project. If you need help, book yourself into a Patchwork 101 session. Bring your lunch and your sewing. Tea, coffee and water are included.   If you bring projects that require a teacher’s assistance you will be charged the Patchwork 101 price.

Patchwork & Quilting 101- this class is suitable for everyone, no matter what you are working. Perfect if you are stuck on something as a teacher is in attendance or want to start something new.  The Friday sessions are on every Friday except the 1st Friday of the Month 10 am - 1pm. $30 per session. The Saturday sessions are on the 22^nd May, 12^th June, 10^th July. Session times 10am – 1pm $30 per session.   

Freestyling Ruler work Quilting Workshop - These workshops are for all skill levels. New to ruler work quilting I can teach you the basic from setting up your machine to the more advance levels where you bring a basted project and looking at how to quilt the project with the rulers you have and introduce you to new rulers. Check below for dates. You can do Rulerwork in the Patchwork 101 session if I am running the session. 

Expand your Knowledge Workshops- There will be a variety of projects on offer along with different techniques on different days. Expand your knowledge with these workshops.    Cost will vary depending on the workshop and who is teaching the workshop. Generally, 10 am to 3 pm but it will depend on the workshop.  Check over the page for workshop dates.

Quiltworx 101 Monthly Workshops. Starting 2021 we are going to have a regular Quiltworx workshop every month. There will be a Technique of the month Series plus other projects over the course of the year as well as homework sessions.

We do have a hot weather policy in place, if temperatures reach 40 degree Celsius or a Catastrophic fire ban day is issued please contact the shop to see if the workshop is going ahead. Some workshop will go ahead if a special teacher has been booked.

Sun 4^th July- Christmas Embroidery Ornaments Workshop fee includes the kit and a Christmas surprise. $60 workshop fee and includes your kit. This is a hand sewing project.

Sun 11^th July- Quiltworx Glacier Star Part 6 of 7

Sat 17^th July- Learn Your Machine Series Part 6 10 am – 2pm $40

Sun 18^th July- Freestyling Rulerwork Workshop- Christmas project- $60 Workshop fee.

Sat 24^th July – Angel Workshop- $60 workshop and includes your angel kit and includes a Christmas Surprise.

Sun 25^th July- Quilt As you Go- Bring blocks, wadding, backing fabric and we will quilt blocks and join them together using one of the Quilt as you go methods $ 60 Workshop fee.

Sat 31^st July – Christmas Star Ornament- This is an English paper piecing project. $60 includes kit and a Christmas Surprise.

August

Sun 8^th August – Quiltworx Glacier Star Part 7 of 7

Tues-Thurs 10^th-12^th August- Burra Retreat- Anything Goes Retreat up at Sew Delightful B&B in Burra, SA. $350 includes accommodation, meals, and a teacher. Starting something new, fabric purchased through Cynthia’s Ark for this retreat will receive the workshop 20% off discount.

Sun 15^th August- Learn how to make Pineapple Blocks Workshop fee $60, Ruler and fabric extra. Note Order your ruler through Cynthia’s Ark and receive the workshop discount that you receive when you purchase workshop fabrics.

Sat 28^th August- Quiltworx 101 Session 10 am- 3pm $50 workshop fee. Bring any Quiltworx project you need help with to these sessions.

Sun 29^th August- 3-yard Quilt Workshop- Join us for a fun day with the 3-yard Quilt book. Select one of 8 patterns and make a quilt top in a day. $110 workshop fee and includes a 3-yard quilt book and a 3-metre bundle of your choice.

October

Fri-Mon 8^th-11^th October Project Uninterrupted Retreat- Nunyara Conference Centre $400pp includes shared accommodation and all meals.
