Scrap Everything and Sew Blog hop

Welcome to my day on the Scrap Everything and Sew blog hop. Normally I won't sign up for a blog hop that ran this week of the year, but when I got Pat's invite stating she was host a blog hop on this week due to her travel plans being cancelled, it got me thinking mine might get cancelled. Believe it or not, that is exactly what happened. Normally this week I  am flat out getting ready for the Laura Folk Fair, an event we have done for 18 years I think. It was a big blow to see it cancelled but we can't do anything about. So I sent Pat an email count me in. A big thank you to Pat (Lemon Tree Snippets) for hosting us.
Here is the full schedule, so pop over and see what everyone has beeen working on.

Now I am here to share my scrappy project.
Out came one of the scrap boxes. I had an idea but needed to check the scrap boxes for colour selections. I was after reds, pinks, yellow and neutrals. Reds and pinks not a problem. Only a few bits of yellow, but I didn't need much, The neutrals had to come from the stash more than the scrap boxes, not enough in the scrap boxes. There was some small cuts in the stash to use.

I created my block in EQ7 (Yes I am behind the times. I am haven't upgraded to EQ8 yet, but it will happen now I have the new laptop.)
Nothing too hard. I have plenty of hard stuff to do, I don't need more.
I had a table runner in mind. I finished my blocks  and I still have a stack of cut pieces to sew. I think I got carried away with the cutting.

Once my blocks were made, I off set the blocks by adding a piece to one side of each block. Then turned every second block.
Once sewn together it looks like this.

I got to this stage and love the look so much, my original table runner idea has gone out the window. I will be making more blocks and there will be a quilt when I am done with them.

I hope you have enjoy visiting today and once I have finished this project I will make this pattern available.
Until Next Time
Keep Stitching
Cynthia

They just cancelled the Arts Festival here for June. We definitely have to be flexible this year with cancellations and postponements galore. These are pretty blocks and a great layout.
