Today is my day to share my project with you. Now all the project in this blog hop have to have a heart featured somewhere in the project.
I decided to has some fun with some English paper pieced hearts. There is a couple of ways to make hearts too. Looking through my stash of papers and templates I had the Jewel shape and when you put two together you get a heart shape, like this.
So after making a stack of hearts I had a play with them and ended up with 5 hearts join in a circle creating a star shape. It is a nice surprise when you get a secondary pattern. That is why I called this project Stars of my Heart.It is an easy block to make. You prepare your shapes and sew two jewels together to create the hearts.
Lay the hearts out in a circle so they are just touching and applique in place.
The rest is standard sew your blocks together with sashing strips following by a border then the second border. These are very basic instructions, if you are experienced quilter you could probably work it out.
Then there was quilting and binding to do and we were all done.
Now I will add this block to the Cynthia's Ark Block Library with the full instructions for the table runner which can easily be made into a quilt by making more blocks. That is the sweetest table runner. Great method for the hearts. Thank you for sharing the technique. My hubby would be smart to bring me some chocolate, but this year the 14th is ash Wednesday, so I guess we will celebrate the day before.

My husband nearly always makes us both a cuppa first thing in the morning that we share watching the bird life land in our garden. A lovely gentle way to start our day. (I make the cuppa son his birthday)

Cute table topper, it would be a cute addition to my quilt and coasters! I try and get a romantic dinner out, but his year I think I will do a romantic red dinner in.

What a sweet Valentine project! Thank you for sharing. My idea for a great Valentine's Day gift from my husband would be a special meal, just for me. I love his pasta with shrimp and garlic sauce, along with a salad and bread, with a nice glass of wine. Maybe some chocolate-dipped strawberries for dessert.

I am sew impressed with your English paper piecing! I have not done anything but hexies--must try other shapes. Some dark chocolate would be a perfect Valentine for me--or more fabric. :) Ha! Thanks for sharing your lovely project!
My husband is not one for celebrating greeting card days. However, I do appreciate when he comments on the love I put into preparing the specialty meals he requires for a medical condition. Makes the tedium all worthwhile.

What a lovely table runner. It's such a simple and effective design. I can't resist anything with a heart! We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day because my birthday is just a couple days later. However, as a result, since I was a little girl everyone always gives me heart gifts on my birthday!! It could be a lot worse and this isn't meant to be a complaint!
Who can not resist making something with fabric hearts! I've make lots of St Valentine's day projects, mostly table runners. It's so fun to decorate with them at this time of year. I like getting flowers, as they are so romantic.

Very cute!! I told my husband not to buy me dinner or flowers or candy for Valentine's Day anymore but get me some fat quarters. Last year he didn't get me anything. Oh, those are beautiful! I love that you fussy-cut the fabrics to place the fabric just so. I hadn't seen this EPP shape used this way to create a heart. So pretty. What a cute gift bag for your granddaughter. She will love it. My partner knows that I like body products soap, shower gels, lotions so he will probably bring me a basket of products home with flowers. It's the romance of it all and he really likes picking out the soaps and lotions himself to surprise me.

I would just love to kiss my sweet husband on Valentine's Day. I'm taking care of my dad 750 miles away...he has to work and I can't leave my dad, so it will be only a phone call. One of these years we will get to spend Valentine's Day together. Your EPP hearts are adorable.

Isn't it cool when you find a secondary pattern like these stars? The three blocks together make an adorable runner! Perfect fabric choices too! After 34+ years of marriage to my sweetie, all I need and want is a promise to love me forever and hug me whenever I need one. He's a one-in-a-million kind of guy!

My Valentine knows I like flowers and prefer something living, like primroses or pansies that I can plant after enjoying in the house for a bit. This time of year I am eager for some sunshine and can’t wait till spring here on North America!
On Valentine's Day (or any day) I Love to receive marzipan and/or some uninterrupted time while I take a long bath.

Oh boy! Even before I saw you were having a drawing for the fabric I was thinking how I wished I had some of that selection! I've never made any thing as you describe. A table runner would be very nice to make and have though.

How clever to use the EPP units for making hearts-in-the-round. Love the star they form. This is a pretty table runner.
