Under the Pressure Foot 2020-4

Today was a sewing day for me, as there was no workshop on in the shop. I am working on the Clockworx pattern. After I made a decent size mistake a few weeks ago on this project, I got it worked out and I need to redo 10 blocks.

I started the morning filling 2 bobbins ready to sew, sew, sew. I am low on thread on this spool. So my immediate thought was will it last the day.

That's what was on the spool after I wounded the bobbins.

This is my starting point for the day.

I stopped for lunch and checked out my progress and my thread.

It doesn't look much different from when I started.

Though my progress says I was doing great.  I finished the first batch of 8 of the large arches and got halfway through my remake of the 10 small wedges.
Eventually I had to stop for the day.
It is noticable less but there is still a good amount to go. Aurifil reminding me of the Energizer bunny. He keeps going and going. When you think you are going to run out, you still have thread to keep sewing. I was sure it wouldn't last the day, but it did.

I got half through batch #2- and there is still another batch of 8 to do, once these are done. Tomorrow we will see how long the thread will last.

One Monthly Goal- October's Goal

Time to select October's project. I thought long and hard there is a number of projects I could list this month to completed but which one or do I do all of them. Now that would be crazy!  Maybe possible if I don't go to work for the month I could do that, but this is the real world and that will not happen.

So though I have three I want to complete this month I have selected the one that is sitting by my machine, that I started last month at retreat, Then 3 pieces from the end of the first 24 blocks I realised I stuffed it up. Some of my blocks were wrong. I put it away, until now. I laid it out again and worked out where I went wrong. I now have to redo 10 blocks to correct my error.

So let's see if I can get this project to quilt top stage by the end of the month. I have linked my post with Elm Street Quilts goal setting post. So pop over and check out what everyone is doing this month.

350 Block Report- September

September should see me knocking out plenty of blocks as our annual retreat is smack bang in the middle of the month.

This month's total is 30 blocks.

I started the month off with 5 blocks for my Ponsettia table topper and then 3 to piece it all together.

5 blocks for this one I created just for the fun of experiementing. Plus 1 for sewing it together.

8 Quiltworx blocks

This table runner I have classed each row as a block so 18 for this one.

This month's total is 40.

This year's total is  390.
