We have reach May already, how quickly has that gone by. Now we are traveling during May which limits what I can sew this month. So I am starting work on the new Block of the month. There is 13 blocks in total. My aim is to get two or three blocks completed.
The first block has been started using needle turn applique. You will be able to machine applique if you prefer. There will be more than one way to do this block of the month and a few different techniques along the way. More details to come.
We will see how far I get.
I have linked this post with Elm Street Quilts so pop over and check out what everyone is working on.

Our Anniversary Trip - Paris
We are off on a trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Our first stop was Singapore. Sorry no pictures as they are on the camera.
Next stop was Paris, France, the camera die so I have swapped to my tablet so I can share some pictures. Paris hasn't been smooth sailing arriving to rain, wind and the cold. Then we had an electrical problem in our room so they moved us to a new room which turned out to have a water problem. In the end we ended up in a different hotel.

The Eiffel Tower you should have seen the line up to get in.
Notre Dame Cathedral this was the high light of our day.The model of the cathedral.

The Panthon which was closed due to a public holiday along with a number of other places. It was a surprise to find most of Paris closed. They are always saying how backward Adelaide, South Australia is compared to other places that we were very surprised by this.
Our new view from our new hotel which is a sister hotel to the first hotel we were booked in it.

Anzac Day Quilt is completed.
I have been struggling over the last few weeks with my back which is limiting my time sewing. This has really frustrate me. So I have picked the times I sew carefully. I managed to pin my Anzac Day Quilt but the other will have to wait either for my back to heal or until I get help. I have had to keep the quilting simple with just stitching in the ditch. I really wanted to finish this quilt before the Laura Folk Fair as I wanted to have some kits available for sale. Anzac Day is the 25th April so if anyone want to make one they will really to get the pattern and kit ready to give them time to make it up. If they are making the same size as mine it is only a weekend project to complete it.
The fabrics I have used in this quilt are all available in store and online at Cynthia's Ark if you are interested in any of them. Plus I have put this pattern under the Tutorial tab here as it is a great little pattern if you have a feature print for the framed blocks. Just perfect for a I Spy quilt.
I haven't got a better picture of this quilt finished. I didn't realise I hadn't taken the final picture, before the quilt went to a new home.
This project is also my April One Monthly Goal project to complete. So I have done well to get it completed, considering it is the only thing completed this month. Pop over to Elm Street Quilts to see how everyone did.
