Hot Bolt of the Week #9

I have just loaded this week's Hot Bolt of the Week for everyone. This week there is a batik fabric on offer.
It is the Bottle Green Spring Batik fabric and it is only $12 metre for this week at Cynthia's Ark

Now I have been using this one in my Double Wedding Ring Quilt that turned into a bed runner. I love the pattern but realistic I need to be working on my new designs and shop samples. So I reduced the size down. I still need to do the binding but I might do that over the Christmas break where hopefully I can fit 3-4 days just on sewing. Fingers crossed.

Hot Bolt of the Week #8

This week's Hot Bolt of the Week is Civil War Miniatures Red Wallpaper.

As always this fabric has been turning up in post in the last month or so in my Forget Me Not Sew Along project. You know I love share with everyone how I use the fabric I stock in my shop. This is so many way this fabric would fit into a project with it being a small scale print. So this week it is only $14 per metre down from $23 per metre. This is where these little half flowers fit into the project. As you can see I have use it twice so far.

Hot Bolt of the Week #7

After last weekend events it is time for a new Hot Bolt of the Week. This week we have Katagami Floral Web fabric for $15 per metre.

 It is available online at Cynthia's Ark, by phone or pop into the shop to buy some. The shop is open on Saturday 10am-3.30pm or give me a call to arrange a time. Now I always like to share something being made from the fabric to inspire you how how you could use it. This one really screams English paper piecing to me for it's fussy cutting potential and it is not the only one in the range you could fussy cut with. Hot Bolt of the Week #6

I can't believe it was 6 weeks ago I started Hot Bolt of the Week. Time is moving very quickly I feel.This week's bolt is from Sue Daley Designs A French Courtyard. It is the Cream Snowflake fabric and is now only $10 a metre for the next week at Cynthia's Ark. It works out to be 52% off the marked price. That is a bargain right.

As always I like to show you something that features the fabric I selected but this week I can't show you much as I would like. I have combined this fabric with the A French Courtyard 10' Stacker pack to create one of the Fully Stacked Quilts. Here is how I cut the fabric for the border on this quilt and a little sneak peek of the quilt.

You will have to wait until the 3rd October when I release this design to see the whole quilt. Not long now  until our Fully Stacked Weekend.

Hot Bolt of the Week #5

I think I forgot to do something yesterday, with so much happening Hot Bolt of the Week slipped my mind. Sorry to everyone who has been waiting for it. This week's Bolt is Twice as Nice Red Floral at the special price of $10 a metre. Be quick to order some, it won't last long.

Now you know I having been doing something with the selected fabric to highlight it, this one I used recently for the backing and binding on a Fully Stacked project. So here is a little sneak peek of the quilt.

You will have to wait until the beginning of October to see the whole quilt. Fully Stacked will be running between the 3rd and 5th October. It will be a full weekend of fun online and in store.

Hot Bolt of the Week #3

This week's Hot  Bolt of the Week is Kaffe's Collective 15 Pansy fabric. Now I know there are lots of pansy lovers out there, I am one of them. 

So this is a great buy and it is a recent arrival in store. It is a bargain to get 40% off a new one. Pop over to Cynthia's Ark to buy some now.  

If you have been following my blog you would of seen me make a plump cushion from this pansy fabric. The one thing I noticed with these fabrics from this range is how soft and silky the fabric feels.  

I think it would make a lovely summer skirt. Maybe it is something I should have a go at making. Push my skill boundaries a little. What do you think?

A New Hot Special on Offer.
