I have a set of these Westalee Heart rulers I have been wanting to play with and no enough time so I thought I would make a little runner for myself. I spend a lot of time of stuff for other people but not for me.I thought I would send some hearts my way.
I kept it simply as I have been very busy.
I spray basted my three layers together and used the lines on the fabric to set my template on.
In hindsight I could have made my runner slightly wider but my machine does fit and at least this way not wider enough for a cat to come and sit on it.
There is enough runner for my sewing essentials and my Summer project blocks to sit on and hopefully they will not find the floor as easy as sitting straight on the table.

That's a great idea. I've been putting my machine on an old cutting mat to keep it from ruining the FW table where it sits. This would be perfect! Thanks for talking about the rulers, as I've wondered about them.
I love your take on this Blog Hop. Thinking outside the box!
I like your runner, a good idea to keep things pretty and in place.
Beautiful runner! The fabric is really nice and I like how the hearts are represented by the quilting.
Neat runner and great idea to quilt hearts instead of applique or piece them! I bet your will enjoy having that runner under your machine. Thanks for sharing!
Fun fabrics for a super useful runner. This will keep you smiling for years for sure.
Love your fabric choices and they have made into a lovely runner. Great idea to quilt the hearts.
Heart rulers! What a great idea for this hop.
What a great idea. I'm always finding my sewing supplies falling on the floor. I don't know about keeping the runner under your machine though...the fabrics and the binding are just so fun, I might want to keep it out and look at it all the time. LOL!!
I have to agree with Joan that the runner is way too cute to hide under the machine. I love the fabrics you used and how happy they look in your runner. Sweet project for no-red hearts and for keeping sewing notions in place! Thank you so much for sharing this idea to brighten up our sewing areas! xo
It's beautiful. I like the idea of a sewing machine runner.
2 great ideas wrapped up in one lovely piece. The runner is a great idea for keeping sewing things in place and the simple heart quilting is perfect for it.
Great idea, I think I need a sewing machine runner too! Thanks for sharing!
A little love for you and your sewing machine. i HEART it!!! :o))
What a neat way to feature hearts. I have a couple of cracks on my sewing table and way too often, tools, etc. fall through and I'm on hands and knees looking for them. Your showing a great solution. Thanks.
The perfect fabrics choices for a quilter. My machine needs its own runner...thank you for the idea.
Great sewing!! Love the idea of a sewing runner! Thanks for sharing!
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing with us!
That's such a great idea to sit your machine and blocks on. Mine always seem to land on the floor too. That fabric is such fun!
Your heart quilted machine/table runner is a wonderful idea! It would definitely keep your bits from ending up on the floor constantly. Thank you for sharing such a great little project made with such fun fabrics.
Your heart quilted runner is so cute! Great job. Thanks for sharing!
That’s a beautiful little project
Lol, I love the funky binding. An old boyfriend used to chuckle every time I said funky, told me once funky was not a word and had to look in the dictionary. Guess what he found?
Thanks for sharing such a great idea. I can think of a zillion ways to go with this.
Cute heart runner. It is a great idea,
