Blocks of the Month, Fabric and Thread Clubs

At Cynthia's Ark our Block of the Month's, Fabric and Thread Clubs are growing. Have you visited our website recently and seen we now have a section that holds these Clubs together for ease of locating them. Previously they were all of the place. Now they are at your fingertips.
Since I am here let me tell you about them.

At Cynthia’s Ark we have 4 Clubs on offer for you to join. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any or if you have a theme you would like to suggest, we would love to hear it.

Batik Fabric Club – In our Batik Fabric Club you receive a colour themed pack of hand dyed Batik Cotton fabric which contains 4 x 30 cm width of the fabric. Plus there will be a bonus surprise in your parcel in January, April, July and October. Each month is $30 plus postage.

Stashing Building Club – In our Stash Building Club you receive a themed packed of quilting fabric which contains 5 x 30 cm width of the fabric. Plus there will be a bonus surprise in your parcels in January, April, July and October. Each month is $38 plus postage. This is the perfect way to increase your stash, add variety to your stash or if you are only starting on your quilting journey to build a stash.

This is April's Selection from Leonie Bateman's Harrington range. Also I have a surprise planned for May and you are going to want April's pack once it is revealed. Join today so you will receive the surprise next month.

All Over The Octagon Fussy Cutting Fabric Club - It is a 10 month English paper piecing program with fabric, template and papers each month that make octagons when pieced together.   It is $38 per month plus postage for the first month only.  It is starting mid May 2016. With the first month you will receive a Cynthia's Ark Fussy Cutting Starter Pack for free. It includes a Sue Daley glue pen, needles, thread and a fussy cutting mirror. (Valued at $36.50) 

Cynthia’s Ark Batik Brights Thread Club – In our Batik Brights Thread club you receive 6 x 200m spools of specially selected Aurifil 40 wt sewing cotton which is perfect for all your machine piecing and quilting projects. As a bonus you receive a personalised storage case with your first month parcel. Each month is $39 plus postage. This Club only runs for 12 months.

 The Thread club has a set 12 month plan and you can start when you like.   The Batik Fabric Club and Stash Building Fabric club has no set time plan, they are both ongoing clubs, stay for as long as you like. Christmas Present Time

Most of my followers know how much I love giving presents. So here is one of my favourite gift giving times. Christmas!

Cynthia 's Ark Club News

Have you hear of our  Cynthia's Ark clubs?  If not let me tell you about them. We have 3 clubs for you to choose from at the moment.

There is our Batik Fabric Club which has been running this year with a Block of the Month December is the final month. So starting January we will have a new Batik Fabric Club which will running like our Stash Building Club. Each month you will receive 4 x 30 cm width of the fabric of 4 beautiful hand dyed batik fabric for $30 plus postage per month ( a total of 1.2 metres). Plus in January, April, July and October you will receive a bonus with your fabric. eg thread, pattern, notion etc.   Join today for a January start.

Next we have the Stash Building Club which features new fabric arrivals and themed packs. This one is the favourite because of the variety on offer and it guarantees you receive the latest fabrics in your hand from the leading fabric companies. Plus I am open to theme suggestions, so if you have a suggestion email me the theme and if I get enough interest I will arrange it but warning it may take up to 6 months depending on ordering time from my suppliers. Each month you will receive 5 x 30 cm width of the fabric (a total of 1.5 metres) for $38 plus postage each month. Plus in January, April, July and October you will receive a bonus with your fabric. eg thread, pattern, notion etc. This is November selection Always the Season.

Join now and you will receive these fabrics in your first shipment.  I can give you a little sneak peak of what is to come, we have Ardently Austen by Amanda Herring, Harrington by Leonie Bateman, Era of Jane by Sue Daley Designs and more planned. Batik Rainbow Fabric Club Update

The early evening view outside from inside the shop. The main street gets really quiet after hours. My current view from my sewing machine, just doing some sewing and thinking.

A good friend passed a general comment on sampler quilts a couple weeks ago that had me thinking about my sampler quilt for the fabric club. I like to cover all my bases regarding any possible questions that may come up on a new project. This comment was "I am over Sampler quilts"  It was a statement I had not given much thought on earlier beside the fact you don't have to make the sampler quilt you can just collect the fabric.

Our Batik Fabric club is more than just fabric and a sampler quilt. Now who doesn't love receiving a parcel of fabric with a block pattern in the mail? 

I know I do, especially when it is a  themed surprise.

So when you join our 2015 Batik Rainbow Fabric Club, each month you receive 4 x 30cm (total of 1.2 metres) of colour themed batik fabrics, a block pattern and a quilt layout suggestion for that block. Plus exclusive discounts in our web shop on other purchases (e.g. free postage, free gifts, etc.) and charm square sample packs when new batik fabrics arrive free. So really you are starting  a batik fabric collection (or adding to one) and a block library with instructions and with 12 extra quilt layouts you are receive 13  possible quilts to make, even if you don't make them straight away or use different fabrics, it is up to you how you use the block patterns. I am sure there is many more quilt possibilities with 11 blocks collected over 2015. If this fabric club goes well, there may be more in the future to continue building your block library.

Each month you receive six 150 metre spools of Cotton Mako NE 40 weight cotton plus with your first month you receive a personalised box to keep them in as pictured. This weight cotton is perfect for sewing batik fabrics with.

The cost is $39 plus postage for the first month then a flat $39 per month (for Australia) for the next 11 month to complete your set of 72 spools  Aurifil cotton which has been selected to go with our  beautiful range batik fabrics we stock.
